Why the public sector sponsors the Nextcloud-OpenProject integration
Wieland LindenthalDone
I learned programming out of necessity, while working as an archaeologist researching the Mesolithic period in Eastern Middle Sweden. Years later I moved to the IT industry working almost exclusively with free and open source software. Since 2016 I have been working to benefit Swedish Higher Education, first at Stockholm University and now at Sunet.
Sunet (Swedish University Computer Network) is a part of the Swedish Research Council, Sweden's largest governmental research funding body. Sunet runs Sunet Drive based on Nextcloud Global Scale for Swedish higher education institutions, which means running Nextcloud and supporting infrastructure at scale across hundreds of virtual machines in thousands of containers. This talk will outline the strategies employed by Sunet to achieve high availability for Sunet Drive and some of the challenges we are still facing.
