Wieland Lindenthal leads the team that is building the OpenProject Nextcloud integration. He manages the requirements, the roadmap, the development and the sponsors of the integration. In spite of being one of the original co-founders of the OpenProject GmbH he also co-founded a couple of startups in his past. He holds the degree "M.Sc, Software Engineering" from the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam.
From town halls to NGOs, team members all over the world face the same question, again and again. Where are the files that I need to do my job? The brand new release of the open source project management software OpenProject tries stop that chaos by deeply integrating into Nextcloud.
Nextcloud does a great job at storing, editing and sharing files. However, before starting to work on files, teams typically break down their work in tasks and specify who does what and when. When working on such a task, very often files get created, edited or shared. With the new integration everyone can clearly communicate which files are needed to get the job done and where the next co-worker can find the results for further processing.
